You could always lift share with a colleague at work or even use public transport to get to your destination, until your vehicle is fixed. Extra features like this will always cost extra on your policy, so try to get a bog standard policy with no frills if you want a low cost insurance premium. Don’t try adding breakdown cover as well, if you do need this, go direct to the breakdown company and try and negotiate a lower deal. The AA and RAC will always reduce their prices for a sale.
